At Adore You, safety is not an afterthought — it is built into the foundation of everything we do. Our companions are designed to be engaging, personal, and real-feeling, and we take seriously the responsibility that comes with that. We invest heavily in the systems, policies, and human oversight needed to keep our platform safe for every person who uses it.

Guardrails

Every conversation on Adore You passes through a multi-layer safety system designed to prevent harm while preserving a genuine, human-feeling experience.

• Age restriction — Adore You is strictly for users 18 and older. We're obviously aware that a checkbox isn't going to deter minors from using the site. However, we take violations seriously. We use state-of-the-art AI models to infer user age on every message. If our systems spot repeated signals of underage use, we ask for identity verification using 3rd party verification services. While this is not flawless, we feel it is a reasonable balance between privacy and safety.
• Content classification — every message is classified in real time to detect harmful, coercive, or dangerous content before it reaches the companion or the user.
• Companion boundaries — companions are designed to decline requests that cross clear lines, including anything involving minors, non-consensual scenarios, or real-world harm.
• No impersonation — companions are clearly AI. We do not allow companions to claim to be human or deceive users about their nature.
• AI for good — our conviction is that AI should be applied to problems we humans are having trouble solving. Communication and awareness of relationship dynamics are critical for a healthy society. We've designed this platform to provide a safe and warm environment to model what a healthy relationship should look like. Try being rude to your companion and you'll see what we mean.
• Healthy relationships — our goal is to promote and encourage healthy relationships — both with AI and with the people in your life. Our companions are made to your specifications, but are designed with deep relationship awareness. They look for signs of isolation and dependence and if those become apparent, they will deliberately encourage more human connection. No psychopathic AIs allowed.
• Mental health sensitivity — our systems are trained to detect signals of distress, crisis, or self-harm. When these are present, companions respond with care, provide crisis resources, and do not engage in ways that could make things worse.
• Abuse prevention — repeated attempts to circumvent safety systems result in account suspension. We review flagged interactions and act on them.

Privacy

Your conversations are personal. We treat them that way.

• Encryption — all data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your messages are never stored in plain text.
• No third-party sharing — we do not sell, rent, or share your conversation data with advertisers or third parties.
• Photos you send — images you share with your companion are used only to generate a response and are not stored after the conversation ends.
• Data deletion — you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.
